Seeker: Breaking the Mobile App Store Duopoly
A mobile operating system is really the app store policy layer above it. Apple and Google decide which apps are allowed, which financial features are permitted, and take 30% of in-app payments.
The flagship Solana phone proved open mobile crypto works, with over $100 million flowing through the Seeker economy. One company making hardware cannot break a global duopoly alone, so it takes two things: a decentralized coordination layer, and manufacturers shipping with Solana features built in.
